Hi, I saw your article on VB, and was trying to motivate my 21yr old to use his social media skills to do something like you.
Also, I noticed, your Social Media menu takes you to the URL for “…/photography/…”, is that just an artifact from your old website?

Hey Brian,
I got into social media a year and a half ago because I realized that I spend so much time on the Internet that I might as well get paid for it. From there I immersed myself in the world of digital marketing and I really became fascinated at the way it structures our culture, consumerism and the ways we connect to one another. I did a lot of research on the subject and got freelance gigs from Craigslist and then I interned at a digital marketing agency. So, if he wants to get into social media, the channels are certainly there. But, like anything else, there is a lot of responsibility involved. I do many things on behalf of companies, and when I make a mistake it is instant and the whole world sees. I also have to be very careful about my own personal networks, always holding them to a professional standard.
Yeah. My photography page is under construction right now. So I should probably fix that. Thanks for pointing it out!
